Jewellery Care Guide

A common misconception is that since our jewellery is waterproof, it can be worn in the shower, pools, whilst cleaning etc. While our jewellery is waterproof, it is not chemical proof. That's why we heavily stress the following instructions as we do not accept returns for your mishandling of your jewellery.

1. Before You Wear

Jewellery should be the last thing you put on when getting ready.

Apply perfume, body lotion, sunscreen and hairspray first, then put your jewellery on once everything has dried. This helps reduce unnecessary contact with chemicals that can dull the shine over time.

2. Avoid Chemicals

Try to avoid direct contact with:

  • Perfume
  • Moisturiser
  • Sunscreen
  • Cleaning products
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Hair products

Overtime, direct contact with harsh chemicals may strip gold platings.

3. Remove Before Sleeping

Sleeping in jewellery can cause unnecessary pulling, bending or tangling. Taking it off before bed also helps prevent accidental damage to chains, clasps and charms.

4. Remove During Exercise

We recommend removing jewellery before any harsh physical activity. Sweat and repeated friction can contribute to everyday wear.

5. How to Store Your Jewellery

When you're not wearing your jewellery:

  • Keep jewellery in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and humid spaces.
  • Clip necklaces before storing to help prevent tangling.

6. Cleaning Your Jewellery

To keep your jewellery looking its best:

  • Wipe gently with our Premium Polishing Cloth after wearing.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or rough cloths.

Never use harsh chemicals or bleach to clean your jewellery.

7. Freshwater Pearls

Freshwater pearls are naturally delicate. To help preserve their beauty:

  • Avoid perfumes and chemicals.
  • Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wearing.
  • Store separately to prevent scratches.
  • Avoid constant exposure to water.

Every pearl is naturally formed so there is slight differences in shape, colour and texture to make each piece unique.
